How do i install a joomla template
This tutorial will guide you through installing a Joomla template you have downloaded from the Joomladesigns web site.
For more detailed information about setting up the web design please refer to the installation guide supplied with the design.
- Log into the members area download the template package you wish to install on your Joomla! web site
- Unizp the template package before installing the design
- Inside the template package you will see the Joomla 1.5 directory which includes the template zip file which you can install via your web site
- From the Joomla administrator area select Extensions menu and the Install / Uninstall menu
5. Select the Browse button and choose the template zip file included in the 1.5 directory and press the Upload File & Install button
6. The install Template Success message will now appear
7. Select the Extensions menu and Template Manager menu item
8. You will now see the design you have installed plus you can set the web design as the Default site template.
To set the design as the default template select the radio button next to the design and select the Default button
9. To change the template parameters select the radio button next to the design and select the Edit button
10. You will now see a list of parameters which you can change for the template you have installed.
After you have made changes to a parameter select the Save button
